What is Microblading?

Microblading is a safe semi-permanent tattoo procedure done by creating hair-like strokes to mimic your natural hair strands. Using a manual pen-like tool, the pigment is inserted into the upper layer of the skin to create the desired shape and fullness to your eyebrows. Microblading typically lasts up to 6 months to 2 years, depending on the person, skin, and daily activity.

How does it work?

The whole procedure will take about 2 hours to complete. In the first hour we will take time to map out the desired brow shape using a measuring tool, this ensures everything to be symmetrical and PERFECT! Then we will proceed by picking out the correct color for your brows, depending on skin tone. Once color is selected we will begin by numbing the skin and tattooing the brows, following the guidelines of the brow shape drawn.

You are required to come in for a second touch up 30 days after the initial session. (Results won’t be guaranteed if you fail to come in) This will help us adjust and/or enchance any parts that need to be touched up.

Do I need a deposit to book?

When you book your appointment, we reserve a large block of time for you, for this reason we require a $100 deposit to book your appointment. If you need to reschedule your appointment, you may do so 48 hours in advance. Cancellation within the 48 hour time frame will result to loss of your deposit.

How do I take care of my eyebrows after my permanent makeup procedure?

Once you get PMU done, it is important to stay away from the sun, working out, facials, or applying makeup for the first 5 days. During the healing process, it is important to keep your eyebrows clean. Wash with lukewarm to cold water but avoid using hot water and hot showers.

What will I experience once I get my eyebrows done?

The first day after your session your eyebrows will be about 30% darker and can be red/swollen (depending on the skin), this is completely normal. The second week your eyebrows will fade significantly, you may even feel like the strokes almost disappeared, this is also normal and is due to the skin cycle. The skin takes 30 days to rejuvenate, so when pigment is inserted onto the skin, it will go down into a deeper layer of the skin and week by week make it’s way back up to the top layer of the skin. Because my technique doesn’t penetrate into the deepest layer of the skin as a tattoo would you may experience fading on some areas. This is why a touchup procedure is always required for optimal results.

How long does it typically last ?

Depending on the skin and daily activity the longevity of the procedure can vary from person to person. Typically microblading and permanent makeup can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. If you have oily skin or if you are someone that works out daily your skin might not hold the pigment as well as dry skin. For this reason, I can suggest that you have microblading and shading procedure done because this procedure tends to hold well for these types of cases.

Can you do Microblading on a previously tattooed eyebrow?

Yes you can, however, the result may not be guaranteed. It all depends on the depth and tone of your last procedure performed. A consultation is always best for a thorough analysis.

How long does permanent eyeliner last?
